actually i just used this product called easystraight. It's a relaxer, and It's great for curly or wavy hair. It worked great, and it lasts for 3 months. They also have one that lasts for a week, if you dont want the commitment or are scared of the results. It's about $30, and you can get it at drugstores, like duane reade, cvs, walgreens, etc.

I'm still searching for the same thing. All I can tell you is stay away from the John Freida products.
